Starport History

   Starport was a child ready to be born, since 1970 the study of astrology has always been in her spirit. Human behavior has always fascinated her. People are pulled together at certain times and places, events happen for no appraiant reason. Our own personal perceptions of life itself have been enhanced.
    Astrology has a long history in the study of life around us. The Egyptians, Chinese,  Indians, Babylonians, Greeks and Romans all used and developed this science. They were in awe as they looked toward the heavens, they named the bodies of light their gods. These gods had a distinct personality and purpose, for example Venus, the goddess of love and beauty, Mars the god of war and desire. They divided the heavens into a circle they called the zodiac. Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. The first sign Aries, starts the first season for the year, our spring equinox March 21st. Cancer, the fourth sign, June 21st, is our summer solstice, Libra, the seventh sign, September 21st, is the autumn equinox and Capricorn, the tenth sign, December 21st, is the winter solstice. Astrology calls this group (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) the cardinal signs, the pioneers, the new beginnings. Each of the four are representatives of the four primitive elements: Fire, Water, Air and Earth.
    On April 21st the second sign Taurus the fixed sign of earth, the fixed sign of water is Scorpio, the fixed sign of fire is Leo and the fixed sign of air is Aquarius. These signs are stable in their elements. The fixed signs are at the midpoint of the seasons.
    On May 21st the third sign Gemini the mutable sign of air, the mutable sign of earth is Virgo, the mutable sign of fire is Sagittarius and the mutable sign of water is Pisces . Each sign brings in changes, the ending of the seasons and the beginning of the new.
    The birth chart is best seen as a blueprint of your potential, but it is up to each of us to develope and express that potential. The birth chart is a personal map of the heavens as they were at the exact time of birth.
    There are four fundamental components which make up the basis for the chart.

Our time and place of birth are vital pieces in the puzzle.
    The Earth Rotates to a new house every 2 hours. Our Ascendant is the point in the eastern horizon at the time and place of our birth. The Ascendant is the most important, representing our instinctive sense of self expression. Our Decedent is at our western horizon at the same time and place. The Decedent represents our self in relation to others. It shows what we seek in relationships. Our Mid heaven is the point over head at our time and place of birth. The Mid heaven represents our sense of self as we would want to impress on the world, our ideal ambition in the world. The lowest point is called our IC (immeum coeli).Beginnings and psychological roots, parents, home life, inherits. unconscious motivation.
